Tea & Talk at Terrace Hill

The Terrace Hill Partnership is proud to present five distinguished speakers who will bring timely programs to the Terrace Hill Drawing Room at 2 pm each Saturday in February, followed by tea and tasty tidbits.  The speakers are donating their time and all proceeds will benefit the gardens of Terrace Hill.  Tickets are $10 per program or $25 for a season pass.  Tickets  available at the door and on eventbrite.com.  For more information go to: terracehill.iowa.gov or call: 515-281-7205.

John Zickefoose: Boyington

John will discuss and explore the career/accomplishments of Terrace Hill architect, W.W. Boyington with an album of exterior and interior images, including the famous Chicago Water Tower, the General Dodge House in Council Bluffs and buildings no longer extant in Des Moines.

Jo Wetherell & Elvin McDonald: Garden Therapy

Jo will demonstrate the Japanese expression of flower arranging by creating an Ikebana and Elvin will share insights from his book, "Plants As Therapy".

February 18
Pat Peterson: Tea Tasting

Pat will explore the wonders of "meditation in a cup", the warming, fragrant beverage with a 4,000 year history.

February 25
Robyn Hofland: Tabletop Gardens

Master Gardener Hofland will show how to create tablescapes with living plants-dish gardens, terrariums, Lilliputian fairy gardens.
